Caring for the heart
We are pleased to announce that on 6 December our company took over the patronage of one of the bookcases in the children’s ward of the Kalisz Hospital. This unique event is an important step for us in supporting the local community and promoting the idea of providing help where it is most needed.
The patronage of the library is the result of our cooperation with the Martel Foundation – an organisation that has been involved for years in initiatives that promote the culture of reading and bring joy to those in need. This foundation has already provided more than 35 bookshelves in various children’s wards across Poland, proving what a difference books can make in difficult times.
Why a bookshelf?
Books have extraordinary power – they can transport us to different places, provide knowledge, inspiration and, most importantly, comfort. What’s more, the bookshelf at Kalisz Hospital has a unique premise – a child who likes a particular book can take it home. This not only creates positive memories of reading, but also helps the child and his or her family to continue their adventure with literature beyond the walls of the hospital.
For the bookshelf to fulfil its role, it is vital that it is regularly replenished with new titles. As a sponsor, our company is committed to providing new books every month to inspire and support the young patients.
Santa’s gift with a heart
The date of 6 December – Santa Claus – was not chosen at random. We wanted this gesture to be a symbolic gift to the patients, who could feel an atmosphere of support and kindness on this day. The official handover of the bookshelf took place in a warm atmosphere, in the presence of representatives from our company, the Martel Foundation and the hospital staff.
Finally, we would like to express our appreciation to the Martel Foundation for their excellent work, thanks to which bookcases have already appeared in more than 35 children’s wards across Poland. This impressive achievement is proof of how much good can be done through passion and commitment.
We would also like to thank the staff at Kalisz Hospital for their openness to this initiative. We believe that the library will become a place that brings joy and solace, and for us, the start of further activities for the local community.
