Kraus Folie Representatives in the spotlight again. This time, Kamil Tobiasz and Michał Mielcarek, on the invitation of the organizers, had the pleasure of participating in the 6th edition of a conference dedicated to the challenges modern flexographic printing houses must address.
Under the theme: “Flexo as it is, everyone can see… SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT. To print or to produce—that is the question.”, this two-day event took place in Warsaw, gathering over 100 specialists, experts, sales representatives, technologists, and printers from across the flexography industry.
A key component of the conference was of workshops, addressing over 160 questions submitted by participants in advance. Despite the intensive schedule, only half of the questions were tackled, highlighting the expansive nature of flexography and packaging’s future.
The workshops primarily focused on printing techniques and flexographic machinery, with a novel addition this year: the presence of a raw material producer—Kraus Folie.
Kraus Folie’s participation underscored the importance of fostering dialogue across the supply chain. The workshops demonstrated the need for closer collaboration, a point emphasized by the conference organizer. Plans are already underway to expand Kraus Folie’s role in future editions of the conference.
The event provided an invaluable opportunity to meet with clients, exchange ideas informally, and strengthen relationships. Even with non-direct customers—converters working with Kraus Folie products—the discussions highlighted the technological capabilities of our extensive portfolio.
Many attendees praised the organizer’s decision to include a film producer, with Kraus Folie described as a “missing puzzle piece” in the supply chain representation. One participant remarked that Kraus Folie’s presence enriched the event, offering a fuller view of the sector’s supply chain.
Such conferences are exceptional platforms for sharing knowledge about film production and available technological options. This event has further solidified Kraus Folie’s position as a leading producer of PE and PP films.
Our appetite to expand participation in the seventh edition of the conference—and similar events—has been piqued.
