Flexible Revolution: Kraus Folie as a leader of modern trends in packaging industry
Monomaterials, ecology and circular economy – the three pillars that state the foundation for the changes in the packaging industry. Each one was discussed during the conference organised by Prograf Flexo company. Among the participants of this prestigious event, we could find the representatives of printing houses, manufacturers of printing equipment and templates, producers of dye and varnish, foil manufacturers and Hamilton company, responsible for research and certification. Among the participants we could not miss the representatives of a big sales network that’s a leader on the market.
Our company based its lecture on an announcement of the wave of changes. We talked about the new era in packaging industry, the changes in how it is perceived by the delivery chain, as well as consumers themselves. Michał Mielcarek – the representative of Kraus Folie shared his vision of the future under the name of ‘’Monomaterials designed for circular economy – an alterative for PET/BOPP/PA and high-barrier monostructures’’. He put special emphasis on the ecological and circular approach towards packaging production.
In our lecture, we pointed out the raising consumer awareness, who pay more and more attention not only on the contents and origin of the product ingredients, but also the eco-friendliness of the packaging. In this case we put emphasis on the need for fast adaptation to the market’s demands and the legislation that focuses on monomaterials suitable for recycling. The fact that the new EU regulation in couple of years will change the whole packaging market only adds up the seriousness to the situation.
The main thoughts behind our presentations were the following: ‘’Our solutions are made to fulfill the current and future needs of the packaging market based on circular economy and full recyclability’’ and ‘’The consumers, aware of their role in the environment preservation often choose products packed in materials that are eco-friendly. It is the consumer that with the purchase decides which products are consistent with his or her raising awareness and expectations.’’
It is also crucial to emphasise the fact that all speakers pointed out the same thought, namely that the future of packaging belongs to those producers, who include ecological solutions in their portfolio. All according to the law and consumer demands.
During the networking part of the event, Kraus Folie representatives actively participated in experience exchange, obtaining information about the customer needs and presenting modern and recyclable products from our portfolio.
The effect of the above is the launching of the project with the leader on the baking margarine market. Our innovative approach – MDO PE film with shape memory piqued a lot of attention from the side of our future business partner. The project is even more favourable due to the fact that the host of the conference – Prograf Flexo, is our perennial customer, who delivers its products to the mentioned margarine producer from a decade. This is how real networking happens.
